The following required textbooks are available at the bookstore.  (You may be able to find cheaper copies online; they are all popular, easily available books.)

RECOMMENDED:  The HarperCollins Study Bible is also available for purchase at the bookstore.  Several copies are on reserve at the library.
We will be reading substantial sections of the Christian New Testament. The standard version of the Bible for this course is the NRSV (New Revised Standard Version) translation.  Students may use either the HarperCollins edition or the Oxford study edition, the older but similar Revised Standard Version (RSV) by HC or Oxford, or online NRSV and RSV translations. 

All papers, exams, and in-class activities and assignments must use the NRSV or Revised Standard Version (RSV) translations.  Other translations may not be used for assignments.
